Solarize Campaigns:

Lower Kenai Peninsula—Homer!

Solarize is a grassroots campaign to make solar installations easier and less expensive. Alaska Solar (previously Anchorage Solar) is excited to be chosen to work with the Lower Kenai Peninsula. Click on the button below to see Solarize info from the Alaska Center.

Alaska Solarize Projects

Alaska Solar completed the original solarize campaign in Airport Heights in 2018, in South Addition and Spenard in 2019, in Rabbit Creek, Abbott Loop, and Homer in 2020, and in Eagle River, Girdwood, and Homer in 2021. We strongly believe in the program because it matches our mission of making solar easy and inexpensive.

It’s a win-win-win-win with increased property value, good return on investment, a cleaner environment, and great community building.

The Alaska Center and the Alaska Center for Energy and Power have supported Solarize since 2018.

Through 2021, 16 neighborhoods and communities and close to 600 Alaskan homes have been “solarized” through the program.  The program continues from Fairbanks to Homer. We expect 2022 to be a great year!
